PALILULA MARKET RECONSTRUCTION BEGINS

PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality said to the press that the reconstruction works will begin on Palilula market during October, and it was estimated that all will be over in about a month. The resources have been already provided and the matter that stopped its implementation was the problems in permissions obtaining. The project was a present of a group of architects of Nis, while the money was provided from donations, Novakovic says. Market place will be completely rebuilt, will get a new fence, roof, new stalls and new sanitary place. In addition, special area for the dairy products sellers will be provided.

According to the first man of Palilula,  this constructional work is expected to last up to a month because the roof structure is already in running, and practically has to be installed which will only shorten the time to the contractor. During the works, stalls for market sellers will be relocated temporarily near this market place.

`We plan that until works last the market sellers be in Čairska Street, next to the railway, and the railway land will be available free of charge use. Also, for sellers this time will not be any excise charged` - Novakovic said.
